Adam’s thoughts… Covid – Share prices
Following the events of the last fifteen months I thought I would take a look at what has happened to the share prices of some of the leading shares in a few different sectors.
Please see below the performance of six shares between the 3 February 2020 and the 25 March 2020, along with how they fared since then to the 18 June 2021.
Shareholding | Share price performance – 03/02/2020 to 25/03/2020 | Share price performance – 25/03/2020 to 18/06/2021 |
Carnival | -64% | +55% |
Cineworld | -67% | +42% |
Easyjet | -55% | +49% |
Lloyds | -35% | +26% |
Tui | -56% | +87% |
Whitbread | -33% | +24% |
Given the volatility in share prices and the uncertainty that has been around since last March being brave and going against the herd, by investing following the fall, would have been well rewarded. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Adam.
