Gareth Says – M&T Model Portfolios

On April 6th we decided to take some funds out of Equities within the M&T discretionary managed portfolios and move to cash. Generally, we have taken 30%-40% out, a bit less on Rollercoaster.

We have put 10% of each fund, except Ethical Eyes into the Ruffer Diversified Return Fund which is designed to minimise the “downside” if markets were to fall.

The prospect of an elongated war looks to be starting to weigh heavily on markets, price rises in energy and increasing inflation may take its toll so a ‘pause for breath’ has been taken.
