Staff matters – 50th Anniversary
As it is the company’s 50th Anniversary on 27 October 2021, I thought it may be worth putting a few of the highlights over that period.
| October 1971 | Morfitt & Turnbull Limited was formed |
| February 1973 | The company was sold to Chancery Trust |
| March 1976 | The company was sold to Arbuthnot Life |
| May 1979 | Pauline joined M&T |
| January 1980 | Morfitt & Turnbull (Management Services) Limited was born |
| March 1982 | The Directors bought the company back from Arbuthnot Life |
| August 1986 | M&T were bought by N Brown plc |
| May 1987 | Gareth joined M&T |
| June 1996 | Offices were destroyed by Manchester bomb and we had no access to client files for six weeks! |
| April 1999 | The Directors bought the shares from N Brown plc |
| January 2005 | Annie joined M&T |
| February 2005 | Gareth and Pauline bought 90% of the shares from the other Directors |
| December 2007 | M&T relocate to Knutsford |
| May 2011 | Adam joined M&T |
| October 2012 | Lisa joined M&T |
| July 2014 | Zara joined M&T |
| September 2016 | Craig joined M&T |
| January 2020 | Ben joined M&T |
| January 2021 | Nick joined M&T |
| October 2021 | Party Time! |
It’s been a long journey with many twists, but we couldn’t have made it without all the wonderful staff members that we had and continue to have. We have, over the years, had offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Kendal, Poynton, Manchester, Knutsford, Birmingham, Worcester, Scarborough, Bristol and Hong Kong!
